This small-group shore excursion is designed specifically for cruise guests docking in Rotterdam who want to experience Delft in a relaxed way. With a maximum of 12 participants, the tour offers a personal atmosphere, expert guiding, and a carefully planned schedule that fits comfortably within your time ashore.
After meeting your guide at the cruise terminal, you travel to Delft for a guided walking tour through the historic city center. While walking along churches, canals and market squares, your guide explains how the city developed and what it is most known for. The tour includes a short guided visit inside the New Church, where members of the Dutch royal family are buried.
There is time to roam around and enjoy lunch in Delft at your own pace before continuing to Royal Delft, the last remaining Delft Blue pottery factory from the 17th century. During a guided visit to the factory and museum, you learn how traditional Delftware is still produced today using authentic techniques. You will see the production and hand-painting process up close and have time to visit the shop or café afterwards.
