Tour description
When your cruise ship docks in Rotterdam, you have one valuable day ashore. This private shore excursion allows you to spend it exactly the way you prefer. With your own professional guide and comfortable minibus, you decide where to go and what to focus on. No fixed program. No waiting for others. Just your group and a carefully planned day tailored to your interests.
Do you want to visit windmills in the country side and some charming small towns? See more of modern Rotterdam? Or make your way to Amsterdam instead? It is entirely up to you.
After meeting you directly at the Cruise Port Rotterdam, your guide discusses the final details of the day. Travel times, pacing and return schedule are carefully aligned with your ship’s arrival and departure. You travel in a private vehicle exclusively for your party, with space for up to 15 guests.
Throughout the day, your guide provides cultural and historical context. We do not rush from stop to stop. We focus on understanding the places you visit. There is always time for photos, a relaxed lunch, shopping, or coffee break: it’s your tour after all.

Frequently asked questions
Is this tour suitable for cruise passengers?
Yes. This tour is designed specifically for cruise guests docking at the Rotterdam Cruise Port. Pick-up and drop-off are at the cruise terminal, and the itinerary is carefully timed to fit within your port stay.
If you’re not on a cruise ship you can still join this tour though. Just make sure to meet us at the Cruise Port!
What happens if my ship arrives late or leaves earlier?
We monitor cruise arrival times. If your ship arrives late, we adjust the schedule where possible. If the tour cannot operate due to a significant delay, you will receive a full refund.
Is return to the ship guaranteed?
We plan conservative routes, include buffer time, and monitor cruise departure times closely. Our guides are experienced in working with cruise schedules and will adapt the program if necessary to ensure a timely return.
Although independent operators cannot offer a formal guarantee, this excursion is built around one clear priority: getting you back to your ship on time.
Is this a private tour?
Normally, this tour is offered as a small-group shore excursion with a maximum of 12 guests.
Travelers who prefer exclusivity can also charter this excursion as a private tour by selecting the private option during the booking process. When booked as a private tour, your group will not be combined with other travelers.
How much walking is involved?
There is a moderate amount of required walking involved during the guided tour: about 1.5 kilometers or 1 mile during the guided walking tour in Delft.
The pace is relaxed, with frequent stops. Guests should be comfortable walking short distances on flat surfaces.
Is the tour suitable for seniors?
Yes. This tour is popular with older travelers. The pace is unhurried, transport is by minibus, and there are several opportunities to sit, rest, or enjoy a café break.
Can I join the tour with children?
Yes, this tour can be a good fit for families traveling with older children or teenagers who are comfortable walking and interested in culture and history. The pace is relaxed, but the content is designed primarily for adults.
Reduced prices apply for children under 18. To keep the experience enjoyable for everyone, we generally do not recommend this tour for very young children or toddlers. Families traveling with younger children may prefer a private tour, where the pace and content can be adapted.
